Al-Burhan praises the support of the World Bank to Sudan in various fields

Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council in Sudan, praised the continuous support provided by the World Bank to the Sudanese government for the development of the Sudanese economy, in addition to its support for vital sectors and poor families.


On Thursday, Al-Burhan met with a delegation from the World Bank Group that is visiting Sudan, headed by David Malpass, President of the World Bank Group.


Malpass said - in a press statement - that the meeting with the proof was fruitful, in which he dealt with the great progress achieved by the economy as a result of the fruits of peace witnessed by Sudan with the participation of large sectors of the Sudanese and the construction process in Sudan in various fields.


He praised the estimated efforts and the great economic reforms carried out by the transitional government, which culminated in reducing inflation, the good results of which will appear on the citizens in the next stage.


The President of the World Bank Group affirmed the Bank's keenness to cooperate with Sudan to bring more investment opportunities and investors, support the electricity and industry sectors, support poor families, and assist the Sudanese in the fields of agriculture, irrigation, energy and other productive fields through many successful Bank programs.
