Al-Ahly decides to freeze the team’s general coach file.. Know the details

Al-Ahly club officials decided to freeze the file of hiring a general coach for the team in the coming period, despite the high “tone” of hiring a general coach for the team over the past few days.

The past few days witnessed wholesale nominations for the position of director general in Al-Ahly, where many put forward more than one name, led by Reda Shehata, Imad Al-Nahhas, Ahmed Abdel-Moneim "Kushari", and Alaa Mihoub to fill this position.

The nominations of the general coach of the team came after the departure of Kevin Johnson at the end of last season, and a source in Al-Ahly told Al-Youm Al-Sabaa that the Red Castle administration had postponed the file of including a general coach for the technical staff based on the desire of the technical staff.

The source explained that the club’s management listened to Musimani’s view in the past few days regarding contracting with a general coach, and the coach confirmed that he does not need a foreign or Egyptian general coach at the present time, explaining to the club’s management that there is an understanding between him and his assistant staff, so he refuses to make amendments or additions. New items for the device, at least for the time being.

The source revealed that the technical director told the Al-Ahly administration that he would request the inclusion of a new element for the device if he wanted to, stressing that the club’s management refuses to pressure Musimani by adding a new element to prevent interference in the team’s affairs, considering that this is one of Al-Ahly’s constants.

On the other hand, Al-Ahly club received assurances that the South African team would exclude Percy Tau, the Red Castle player, from the final list for the upcoming South African camp due to the player's injury and his lack of readiness to be with his country's next camp.

On the other hand, although the South African national team had previously sent an official letter requesting that the player be included in the Bafana Bafana camp next October, the final list will witness the player’s absence due to Al-Ahly’s assertion that Percy Tau is still receiving treatment for his injury to the connective muscle he suffered during His presence with his country early this month.

The South African national team responded to Al-Ahly’s request and decided to exclude the player from the final list to be announced by the Belgian Hugo Bruce, the coach of the South African national team, within hours, for the two matches of South Africa against Ethiopia on October 6 and 10 in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The South African national team received a medical report from Al-Ahly regarding the player's condition, and the report confirmed that Percy Tau is still suffering from an injury and needs two weeks to participate in group training, so he was excluded from the final list of the boys' team so that his injury does not worsen.

Percy Tau topped the preliminary list of the South African team announced by Hugo Bruce a few days ago in preparation for the two matches against Ethiopia in the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly reached the quarter-finals of the Egypt Cup yesterday, by defeating Enppi with a clean goal, signed by Salah Mohsen.
