Yemeni Minister of Information: Starting a military operation to liberate Al-Bayda Governorate from the Houthis


The Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, announced that the forces of the Yemeni army and the popular resistance began today, Friday, a large-scale military operation (Al-Najm Al-Thaqib) to liberate Al-Bayda Governorate from Houthi militants.


Al-Eryani indicated - in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency - that the army and the popular resistance forces, with the support of the coalition forces to support legitimacy, achieved field victories, which included the liberation of several sites in the Hazmieh front in the Soma district, most notably the areas of Jamima Wafaa, Sharda, Al-Sus, Dhi Madahi, Akrama, Shawkan and other sites towards Al-Mashar. Al-Houthi inflicted various human and material losses.


He added that the battles are still continuing, amid the progress of the army, which is now 3 kilometers away from the main line linking Al-Bayda and Mukayras, stressing the killing and wounding of dozens of Houthi elements, the destruction of military vehicles and the seizing of weapons and equipment.


Al-Eryani praised the pivotal role of the coalition forces to support legitimacy, stressing that there is a great desire to achieve the goals of the military operation and complete the liberation of Al-Bayda Governorate from the Houthis.
