Tunisian Foreign Minister renews his country's absolute commitment to defending the Palestinian cause

 Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad Othman Al-Jarandi reiterated his country's absolute commitment to defending the Palestinian cause as the central Arab issue, stressing the importance of maintaining the momentum of this issue, which has returned to the international front, valuing it and translating it into an Arab and Islamic action plan for the permanent members of the Security Council and the most important regional and international groupings , similar to the African Union and the Organization of Non-Aligned Countries, as well as to the most important influential countries on the international scene.

This came - according to a statement issued by the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs today (Wednesday) - during Al-Jarundi's meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine, Riyad Al-Malki.

The statement indicated that the Palestinian minister praised - during the meeting - Tunisia's supportive stances for the Palestinian cause in the UN Security Council and other international bodies, as well as its initiative to convene the first meeting of the ministerial committee tasked with crystallizing the appropriate action to mobilize international support for the Palestinian cause.

He also reviewed the latest developments and conditions in Palestine, especially the Israeli attacks on the holy sites in the city of Jerusalem, and the continuation of settlement expansion in the Palestinian territories, as well as the international efforts for reconstruction in the Gaza Strip.
