The badminton team officially qualified for the Tokyo Olympics

The Egyptian Badminton Federation received a letter from its international counterpart, confirming the qualification of 3 Egyptian players to the finals of the upcoming Olympic Games to be held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, from July 23 to August 8.

And the trio "Hadia Hosni - Doha Hani - Adham Hatem" climbed to the Olympics in the women's doubles and mixed doubles competitions.


Hisham El-Tohamy, President of the Egyptian Federation, expressed his happiness with the trio's qualification for the Olympics, stressing that this matter required a hard effort that continued for four years of continuous work in order to win the crossing ticket to the Olympics.


He explained that this is happening for the first time in the history of Egyptian badminton, with the rise of 3 players at once to the Olympics.


Al-Tohamy thanked the officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports headed by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi and the officials of the Olympic Committee headed by Eng. Hisham Hatab for their support of the Federation during the last period and for providing all the requirements for participating in international tournaments and external camps that helped our players reach the most important and largest international sports forum that takes place every 4 years .


He also thanked the players, who provided an outstanding level during the last period, the members of the board of directors of the federation in its entirety, and the technical and administrative staff of the federation, who made a lot of effort to provide and create an atmosphere for the players to provide their best.


It is worth noting that MP Hadia Hosni has qualified for the Olympics twice before, in 2008 in Beijing and 2012 in London.
