Neamat Saeed achieves a new record for weightlifting in the Republic Championship

Mahmoud Mahgoub, Chairman of the Interim Committee for the Management of the Weightlifting Federation, revealed that the player Neama Said achieved a new record in the 64 kg competitions in the Republic Championship held in Port Said by achieving 100 kg in the snatch and 120 in the net.

This is the first local weightlifting championship after a long hiatus after the appointment of a temporary board of directors of the federation following the international suspension due to doping.

The Republic Championship for the first degree and 20 years and the Egyptian Cup for weightlifting will be held from 10 to 18 June.

Mahgoub confirmed the launch of the 15 and 17-year-old championships from June 20 to 28 of the same month, noting that the delay in launching came due to the lack of approval by the Ministry of Sports to sign the banks in the recent period.

Mahmoud Mahgoub revealed the failure of attempts to participate Olympic champion Mohamed Ihab in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, after the official announcement of the participants without including his name.

Mahgoub said in a statement to Youm7, that the Egyptian Olympic Committee sent a letter of request to the International Olympics for Ehab's participation, especially that he was not accused of doping, which prevented Egypt from participating internationally, but did not respond.
