Malta records “zero” cases of “Corona” virus for the first time in 11 months

Today, Monday, Malta Minister of Health Chris Fern announced that no new cases of the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19) had been recorded for the first time in 11 months.


"Today is the first day that no cases have been reported since last summer, and it is imperative that we maintain discipline and responsibility," Verne wrote in a tweet posted on the micro-blogging site "Twitter", and quoted by the European "Euronews" network.


Malta had allowed bars, cinemas and theaters to reopen; As part of a government timetable to ease restrictions announced months ago to curb the spread of the virus.


At least 75% of the population of Malta has received the first dose of the vaccine against the virus, while more than 50% have received both doses of the vaccine so far.
