Iraqi Health: The epidemiological situation of the Corona pandemic is unstable

The Iraqi Ministry of Health and Environment confirmed that the current epidemiological situation of the Corona pandemic is unstable, and does not allow the partial ban to be lifted or its hours reduced.

And the Director of Public Health, Riyad Al-Halfi, said in statements - according to the Iraqi (Alsumaria News) channel, today, Sunday, that "the ministry has not yet submitted any recommendations related to lifting the partial ban in its entirety or reducing its hours, because the current epidemiological situation is unstable and does not allow this to be achieved." matter."

Al-Halfi stressed the impossibility of returning to the current comprehensive ban in light of the demand for vaccination with vaccines, pointing out that its application depends on change due to the high number of Corona injuries in the daily epidemiological situation.

The partial curfew is currently being implemented in Baghdad and the governorates from 9 pm to 5 am on all days of the week, in accordance with the decisions of the Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety.

The Parliamentary Crisis Cell in Iraq had recently proposed lifting the partial ban in two stages, the first of which includes reducing it from 12 am until five in the morning, and the second to be applied after the injuries stabilize at a rate of one or two thousand, during which it can be lifted completely.
