Iraq: The withdrawal of some entities from the elections does not mean that they will be postponed


Adviser to the Iraqi Prime Minister for Electoral Affairs, Hussein Al-Hindawi, confirmed that the withdrawal of some entities from the Iraqi elections due to the security situation does not necessarily mean that they will be postponed, pointing out that there is no information about "threats against candidates."

 

Hussein Al-Hendawy stressed, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that if the elections are not fair, fair and free, there is no meaning, indicating that the government has crossed half the distance towards the elections.
