Hegazy, Tariq Hamed, and Al-Wansh are the closest to the list of the Olympic team in Tokyo

The trio, Ahmed Hegazy, Tarek Hamed and Mahmoud Al-Wansh, are close to joining the final list of the Egyptian Olympic team to participate in the Tokyo Olympics, which begins next July.

The Football Association received official approval from the Saudi Jeddah Union Club, for its international defender Ahmed Hegazy to participate with the Olympic team led by Shawky Gharib in the Tokyo Olympics, which begins next July.

Shawky Gharib put Ahmed Hegazy's name on the list of candidates to participate in the Tokyo Olympics, but the final decision rests with the Saudi Jeddah Federation, which was approved by the Saudi club, which sent an official approval for the player's participation in the Olympics.

Shawky Gharib has set next July 6 as the date for the start of the last camp for the Pharaohs before traveling to Tokyo to participate in the Olympics, and the camp will include 22 players who were chosen in the final list.

The Olympic team will play two friendlies in July before traveling on July 16 to Tokyo in preparation for the Olympics.

The Pharaohs will open their journey in the Tokyo Olympics against Spain on July 22, then meet Argentina on July 25, and conclude the first round confrontation with Australia on the 28th of the same month.
