Afghanistan gives older employees leave amid rising coronavirus infection rates

Afghanistan announced on Sunday that senior government officials and employees will be given 14 days of leave, amid an increase in coronavirus cases.

The Afghan government said, in a statement reported by the Afghan Khaama Press Agency today, Sunday, that due to the increase in cases of coronavirus, we have decided to give people at risk of infection among government employees including the elderly and those with diseases, leave for 14 days.

The statement stated that those over the age of 55 should not come to the office and work from home.
