6 cases excluded from "Interview", joining the first arbitration center for non-banking disputes


Dr. Mohamed Omran, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Center for Voluntary Arbitration and the Settlement of Non-Banking Financial Disputes, identified 6 cases that are excluded from conducting a personal interview for registration in the list of arbitrators or the list of mediators at the Center - which is the first arbitration center in non-bank disputes in Egypt, and they are:

 


1- Whoever worked as a government official, according to the concept contained in Law No. 106 of 2013 regarding the prohibition of conflict of interest of state officials.

 

2- A person who held the position of chairman, vice-chairman, or board member of an international, regional or local entity concerned with bank or non-bank financing, investment or credit, for a period of no less than two years.

 

3- Whoever held the position of a judge at the Court of Cassation or its equivalent in other judicial bodies.

 

4- Whoever assumes the management of one of the arbitration or mediation organizations or centers established under international or regional agreements or a law based on a law.

 

 

5- University professors specialized in one of the fields concerned with bank or non-bank finance, investment or credit, provided that they have practical experience in the mentioned fields for at least 3 years.

 

6- Whoever participated as an arbitrator in at least 4 arbitration cases for those who wish to be registered in the list of arbitrators, or whoever participated as a mediator in at least 4 mediation procedures in the event of registration in the list of mediators.

 

Dr. Mohamed Omran, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Center for Voluntary Arbitration and the Settlement of Non-Banking Financial Disputes, issued Resolution No. 1 of 2021, regarding the rules and conditions that must be met for registration in the lists of arbitrators and mediators accredited to the Egyptian Center for Voluntary Arbitration and the Settlement of Non-Banking Financial Disputes.

 

 

The Egyptian Center for Voluntary Arbitration and Settlement of Non-Banking Financial Disputes is specialized in arbitration and settlement of disputes that arise due to the application of laws relating to non-bank financial transactions, and in particular that arise between partners, shareholders or members of companies and entities operating in the field of non-banking financial markets, both among themselves. or between those companies and entities, as well as the disputes of customers or beneficiaries of non-banking financial activities with those companies and entities on the occasion of their commencement of their activities.
