The Minister of Petroleum witnesses the signing of a new contract to search for gold in the Eastern Desert


Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, witnessed the signing of a contract to search for gold in the Eastern Desert between the Mineral Resources Authority and the English Nubia Mines Company, with a total investment of 5.2 million dollars for one sector for research.

 

Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla explained that the signing of this contract comes within the framework of completing the signing of contracts with the winning companies of the global bid for gold search for 2020 in its first round, which numbered 11 international and Egyptian companies that won 82 research areas on an area of ​​14 thousand km2 in the eastern desert with a total investment of 60 Million dollars.


Al-Mulla added that the various reforms that were approved in the investment system in the mining sector during the recent period have contributed to improving the investment environment and attracting foreign and local investors, especially with the adoption of practical and fast mechanisms that keep pace with the internationally applied in the mining industry in many countries.

 

The signature was attended by Eng. Alaa Khashab, Deputy Minister for Mineral Resources, Eng. Khaled El Shishtawy, Chairman of the Mineral Resources Authority and his deputy, Eng. Yasser Ramadan, and representatives of the English Nubia Mines Company.
