Africa records 4 million and 709 thousand new infections and 127 thousand deaths from "Corona"

The African Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the African Union confirmed that member states recorded 4 million 709 thousand new infections and 127 thousand deaths due to the emerging "Corona" virus.

The "African Centers" recommended member states to continue strengthening the monitoring of "Corona" infections, monitoring syndromes such as influenza and acute respiratory infections, monitoring rapid deaths, and genetic surveillance to monitor the mutation of the virus.

It is noteworthy that the "African Centers" support all African countries to improve surveillance and response to emergencies and prevention of infectious diseases, including dealing with the spread of epidemics and natural and human disasters, as well as seeking to build capacity to reduce the burden of diseases on the continent.
