Arab Cup ... An opportunity for locals to get rid of the saying "Mohamed Salah's team"

Egypt's first national team will compete in the Arab Cup, which will be held next December, and it has been confirmed that the tournament will be held with only local players, not professionals, as the tournament is held outside the international agenda set by the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA).

The Arab Cup championship is considered a real opportunity for the local Egyptian national team players to express themselves and prove their worth, and to respond to the saying that the Egyptian national team depends on professionals, specifically Mohamed Salah, the star of the national team and Liverpool, to the extent that some call the team "Mohamed Salah's team" or "Bassi Salah." It was the case during the reign of Hector Cuper, the former artistic director of the Pharaohs.

The Egyptian national team is seeking to win the Arab Cup, which is a rehearsal for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, so the Pharaohs will strive to compete strongly for the title, and to repeat the scenario of 1992 when the Pharaohs were crowned championships in Syria for the first time.

The Egypt national team has a distinguished group of local players who are able to replace professionals, such as Hussein Al-Shahat and Ahmed Sayed Zizou in the center of the right wing to replace Mohamed Salah, Amr Al-Soulia, Hamdi Fathy and Akram Tawfiq to replace Mohamed Al-Nani in the middle of the stadium, and Ramadan Sobhi to replace Trezeguet in the left wing, and in the attack. There is Mohamed Sharif and Ahmed Yasser Rayan who are able to compensate Mustafa Muhammad and Ahmed Hassan Koca.

The Arab Cup draw, scheduled for next December, resulted in the presence of the Egyptian team in Group D, which includes Algeria, the winner from Lebanon and Djibouti, and the winner from Libya and Sudan.
