A Japanese grant of one million dollars to Tunisia in support of efforts to combat the Corona epidemic

 The Japanese ambassador to Tunisia, Shinsukai Shimizu, said that his country approved an additional financial donation of one million dollars to support Tunisia's efforts to combat the Corona epidemic, reaffirming Japan's readiness to support Tunisia's position in its upcoming consultations with international donors.


This came during a meeting with the Japanese ambassador to Tunisia, Shinsukai Shimizu, at the Government Palace in the Kasbah, according to a statement by the Tunisian government, and the Japanese ambassador affirmed Tokyo's support for improving the investment and business climate in Tunisia and encouraging private initiative and technical and technical support for young scholars, especially in the sectors of technological innovation.


In turn, Tunisian Prime Minister Hicham El Mechichi stressed the peculiarity of the current period, which is characterized by the spread of the Corona epidemic and its economic repercussions, stressing the government's intention to implement an economic reform program to boost growth, in agreement with Tunisia's partners.


The Prime Minister praised the existing cooperation and friendship relations between the two countries, appreciating Japan's standing by Tunisia and its support in its development programs since independence, and the talks dealt with ways to support and develop Tunisian-Japanese relations in several areas.
