The opening of the exhibition "A Journey to the Country of Cush" to narrate the Nubian civilization at the Museum of the East in Moscow



The Egyptian ambassador to Moscow, Ambassador Ihab Talaat Nasr, inaugurated the exhibition "A Journey to the Country of Kush" at the Orient Museum in Moscow, and was attended by Counselor Tamer Hossam and Dr. Muhammad Nasr Al-Jabali, the cultural advisor of the embassy.


 The exhibition includes some of the discoveries of the Soviet mission that worked in Wadi Al-Alaqi in Nubia in 1961 as part of the UNESCO campaign to save the monuments of Nubia.


The opening was attended by a large number of Russian media, and the exhibition will last for three weeks.


The Orient Museum is one of the largest Russian museums, as it ranks second in Moscow and third in Russia in June 2020.


The exhibition was co-organized by the Hermitage Gallery, the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts and the Russian Academy of Sciences, and it included 11 pieces from the holdings of the Pushkin Museum and 16 pieces from the Hermitage Museum's holdings in addition to many materials documenting the event and its importance and rare pictures of the mission while practicing its work with their colleagues from Egyptian Archaeologists.
